The Rotary Club of Jackson was pleased to sponsor the 6th Annual Music Contest for high school and home school students of Amador County at its regular meeting local “Theresa!s Place Restaurant” in Jackson. 5 Students of Amador were competing, providing a nice evening of music for their parents and the Rotarians.

The Trustees of the Rotary Foundation have approved the application of Sonja Palladino for a 2007-08 Ambassadorial Scholarship. She has been assigned to the Universidad de Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Argentina for the academic year.
On November 18, 2006, the Rotary Club of Jackson teamed up with the River Pines Revitalization Association, Inc. for a Fall Clean-Up of River Pines.

Argonaut High (formerly Jackson High) and Amador High have played a football game each year known as "The Big Game". Jackson Rotary purchased a Rotary Bell and had it engraved, "THE BELL BIG GAME CHAMPS AMADOR - ARGONAUT" and was engraved with the team scores beginning with 1971.
